Appetizer

All morning, I've been working on a feature I had hope to finish by now; but alas, there is more work to do. So I decided to share with you my two favorite wedding dress styles from Fashion Week for Spring 2010.

Monique Lhuillier and Oscar de la Renta were on the same page when they designed their gowns; the two examples below are very similar. Clearly, femininity is back full throttle! I can see other designers following suit and incorporating some of the same elements in their collections.

The first two are reminiscent of 1950's prom dresses; layers of beautiful cloudy organza decorated with thoughtfully placed delicate lace.

These gowns both feature strapless, form fitting busts with sweetheart necklines and full taffeta skirts with three dimensional details; the Oscar is a basket weave design, and the Monique is a bountiful bouquet of flowers.
