Inspiration: Goldenrod & Pewter
I was so inspired by Mallory and Josh's wedding that I decided to create a board of my favorite golden yellow and pewter gray images. What a wonderful fall combination. To me, one of the quintessential images of autumn is an antique pitcher with nodding headed sunflowers pouring out of it, which is why this palette works so well this time of year. It also makes for gorgeous letterpress, as shown by the examples below.

Mallory & Josh, by Rebekah Westover
I was super impressed with Rebekah's skills from the moment I saw her work, but I have to admit, reading her bio really got me. As a self professed nerdzilla, I am always jazzed when others fly their geek flags high and proud.
But I digress. Back to the awesomeness of Rebekah's work. I adore Mallory and Josh's yellow, gray and graphite palette, which has been a pretty popular combination the past few months. With the bride and grooms modern and playful choices combined with Rebekah's clean, bright photography, the day was captured so perfectly.

I'm not usually a balloon person, but I love the way these big yellow latex balloons play off of the crespedia used in the boutonnieres and bouquets. And who doesn't love a man in a vest and argyle socks?!

"I Want it Now" of the Week
Holy cow! If you haven't seen Fritts Rosenow Bespoke Boutonnieres i suggest you visit the site immediately! The little vintage trinkets and millinery flowers are so unique! Let's be real for a moment; the groom and his men don't want an orchid or rose pinned to their jackets. Give them something that personalizes the day for them too! My future brother in law was a professional skateboarder. How excited is he going to be when he opens the box the day of the wedding to find a boutonnieres with little boards on it?!
