Maggie's Bridals, by AE Photography
Maggie's look is reflective of another era. First things first, the hair clip. So simple and sweet with feather and pearls, one can imagine an old Hollywood actress wearing the very same thing. Works perfectly with the bottom pleated trumpet style gown with lace and pearls appliqued at the seam.
How about those shoes? Love, love, love the photo of Maggie in the chair showing her very modern laced up heels that somehow work amazingly with the rest of her outfit.
Ashley from AE Photography really did an awesome job of working Maggie into her surroundings; the Dillon Home in Sterling, Illinois provided the perfect setting for the vintage ambiance of the shoot.
Keep your eyes peeled for photos from Maggie's wedding on AE Photography's blog. Thanks again for sharing these magnificently romantic shots with us!

If I keep on looking at Aran's blog, Cannelle er Vanille, I'll never fit into my dress! Sinful pumpkin and hazelnut doughnuts with clafoutis. Look at your own risk.
Another fabulous handmade wedding via frolic!
Lovely fabric flower escort cards via Elizabeth Anne Designs.
Are you a paperophile like me? Then you'll love Folding Trees.

Tiers From Heaven
From top: Delicate tiered gown from Etsy seller Prizy Sebastian; A Formal Affair Dress, Mod Cloth; Flirty Ruffle Dress, Free People; Talmadge Dress, Anthropologie;
I covet the Prizy Sebastian dress and all of it's handmade goodness; it's dreamy layers would make the perfect gown for a vintage inspired wedding. One in size 4, please!
Appetizer
Monique Lhuillier and Oscar de la Renta were on the same page when they designed their gowns; the two examples below are very similar. Clearly, femininity is back full throttle! I can see other designers following suit and incorporating some of the same elements in their collections.
The first two are reminiscent of 1950's prom dresses; layers of beautiful cloudy organza decorated with thoughtfully placed delicate lace.
These gowns both feature strapless, form fitting busts with sweetheart necklines and full taffeta skirts with three dimensional details; the Oscar is a basket weave design, and the Monique is a bountiful bouquet of flowers.

The New Anthro Catalog {love fall}
Instead of being draped in velvet like George Costanza, I'd opt to swaddle myself in plaids, drink apple cider, eat maple cream cookies, and do Halloween projects in front of the fire, thank you. Anthropologie, you lessen the pain of Summer's conclusion.
Stephanie Williams & Ruche: Match made in heaven!
Be sure to check out more of Stephanie's photos on her blog (there is a fabulous vintage wedding shoot that's a must read) and get yourself to the Ruche site ASAP!
